Commission Your Own Bespoke Painting of Scotland
As a Scottish artist deeply inspired by the dramatic landscapes of Scotland, I specialise in commissioned original paintings that bring to life the evocative moods and unique light that define our natural surroundings. I invite you to collaborate with me to create a truly personalised artwork that reflects your vision and connection to Scotland.
A Collaborative Process:
The creative journey begins with your ideas and inspiration. Together, we will discuss the elements that matter most to you – from the colour palette that complements your interior décor to the atmospheric tone of the piece. Using my Never Is Enough - Original Abstract Impressionistic Painting from the Abstract & Impressionistic Art Gallery as a starting point, or drawing on your own photographs and concepts, I will craft a bespoke composition that resonates with your personal taste and the essence of Scottish landscapes.
Commission Details:
Each original painting is carefully created on a high-quality, deep-edge canvas with a depth of 3.8cm (1.5 inches), offering a substantial presence and durability. Originals typically take around 4 weeks to complete, ensuring meticulous attention to detail. Bespoke sizing options are available to perfectly suit your space, whether for a residential setting or a commercial interior.
Professional framing services are also offered at wholesale prices to complement and protect your new artwork. For enquiries about framing or custom commissions, please get in touch directly.
Never Is Enough is a dense, restless abstract built from hundreds of loose palette-knife strokes, dragged and layered over one another until the surface feels like the lights of a city at night seen through rain on glass. Deep blacks and charcoals close in at the top and bottom of the canvas, while the centre breaks open into burnt orange, dusty pink, lavender and pale sage, with sudden flashes of acid yellow and pockets of deep navy.
Thick acrylic is scraped back and smeared wet-into-wet so the colours streak into one another, with thin drips and runs falling through the darker passages and fragments of earlier layers showing through. Nothing is crisp or settled; every mark overlaps, breaks and pushes for more space, giving the painting a constant, shifting energy that rewards a closer look.
Its rich, layered palette and strong dark edges give it real presence on a large wall, making it a bold focal point for a living room, dining room, hallway or office, and a striking partner for charcoal, warm timber, brass and soft blush or sage tones.
