A Moonlit Wood ii - Original Impressionistic Painting On Canvas
A Moonlit Wood II
In 'A Moonlit Wood II,' I've tried to capture the unique atmosphere of a woodland at night. The painting is not about precise details but rather the feeling of moonlight filtering through the trees. With soft greens, warm yellows, and muted greys, the colours blend to create a light-filled atmosphere, drawing the viewer into the scene.
The composition is intentionally soft-focused. I used loose brushwork to allow the forms of the woodland to emerge naturally from the darker tones, with the moonlight acting as a natural focal point. The contrast between light and shadow helps to create depth and an almost mysterious quality, reminiscent of a quiet night in the woods.
