About this painting.
As an artist, there are few places that capture the profound peace of the Scottish Highlands quite like Loch Tay. This original painting is my personal interpretation of that incredible serenity.
I am endlessly inspired by the unique way the light interacts with the water in Perthshire, and with this piece, I wanted to bottle that feeling of stillness. My focus was on the soft, atmospheric light as it moves across the loch, illuminating the surrounding hills in those rich, deep greens that are so characteristic of the Scottish landscape.
Using an impressionistic style, I built up layers of colour to create depth and texture, hoping to draw you into the scene. This isn't just a painting of a place; it's my attempt to capture the quiet, timeless mood of the loch.
This original artwork comes from my "Lochs & Mountains" collection and is a true piece of my passion for Scotland. I hope this original Scottish landscape painting brings that same sense of Highland tranquility into your home.
