Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take me to complete your painting?
Typically, it takes me 4 to 6 weeks from our initial chat to the painting being ready for dispatch. This allows me time for the creative process and ensures the professional-grade paints are fully dry. If you have a specific deadline, like a wedding or anniversary, please let me know and I’ll do my best to prioritise it.
Do I need to provide you with photographs?
It is very helpful if you have a specific view in mind! You can upload your photos during checkout. However, if you just have a general location in mind—such as "The Quiraing at sunrise" - I can use my own library of Scottish landscape sketches and photos to compose the piece for you.
Can you make changes once the painting is finished?
Yes. Before I varnish and ship your piece, I’ll send you a high-resolution digital preview. At this stage, I’m happy to make minor adjustments to the light or tone to ensure you are completely happy with your new artwork.
What is the artwork painted on?
I paint on premium deep-edge canvas (3.8cm). I white the artwork around the edges so that it arrives "ready to hang" with a clean, contemporary look. If you’d prefer a traditional floating frame, just let me know and I can provide a separate quote for bespoke framing.
How will I ship your artwork?
I have years of experience shipping my work globally. I personally ensure your painting is wrapped in multiple layers of protective foam and heavy-duty cardboard. I ship all original works via a tracked and insured specialist courier.
Can I request a size that isn't listed?
Absolutely. If you have a specific wall space that needs a custom size - ncluding extra-large statement piece - please send me a message and I will provide a bespoke quote for you.
