"I love to travel with my family around Scotland (if possible with my son Bodhi) and try to capture the mood and atmosphere she creates at any given turn. A bonus is I get to share my paintings of the beautiful landscape of our beloved Scotland around the World.
I was born and raised in the shipbuilding town of Greenock and I have been painting since the age of 10. Having studied Interior Design in Glasgow for 4 years, my background hopefully adds an interesting dimension to the artwork. I achieved national design awards during my studies and after graduating worked in the field of film & theatre set design, as a picture framer and an art gallery manager. Eventually, I found myself interested solely in painting.
My contemporary artworks vary from representational to atmospheric impressionistic (sometimes abstract) paintings and prints depicting Scotland’s landscapes and beyond. I also enjoy painting landscapes and cityscapes from around the World. Influences while painting include travel, film and music." - Kevin
