Unmatched Quality and Craftsmanship:
-
Vibrant, Textured Giclée Canvas: Utilising the giclée printing technique, each piece is printed directly onto premium artist-grade cotton canvas. This method ensures exceptional clarity and detail, while the textured surface enhances the richness of colours and the intricate brushstrokes, making the artwork truly come alive.
-
Archival Quality & 100+ Year Colour Guarantee: The inks used are archival-grade and fade-resistant, promising that your canvas will retain its deep, vibrant hues for over a century. This longevity guarantee provides peace of mind, knowing your art will remain a cherished part of your collection for generations.
-
Professional Gallery Stretcher Bars: Each canvas is expertly hand-stretched over a durable, kiln-dried knotless pine frame. This premium wood selection prevents warping or bowing, maintaining perfect tension and preserving the artwork’s visual integrity over time.
-
Expertly Hand-Finished & Ready to Hang: Delivered as a fully finished piece, each canvas includes pre-installed hanging hardware. The canvas is finished with clean white edges, giving a crisp, contemporary look.
Haar Horizon Canvas Prints from the Abstract & Impressionistic Art Gallery Collection offer a moody, atmospheric interpretation of the Scottish coast, perfect for those who appreciate Scottish art prints with square proportions and a modern abstract aesthetic.
My Signature Framed Canvas | The Modern Floating Frame
For a truly impactful presentation, consider the signature modern floating frame option. This sophisticated framing style enhances the tactile presence of the stretched canvas with a refined, solid wood border that creates an elegant three-dimensional effect. It's the perfect choice for anyone looking to make a bold statement with their wall art.
The canvas appears to gently “float” within the frame, a design approach favoured by eclectic galleries worldwide. The result is a visually striking, contemporary artwork that commands attention as a central feature in any setting.
Features of The Modern Floating Frame:
-
The Modern Floating Frame: Crafted from minimalist solid wood, the frame is set slightly away from the canvas edges, casting subtle shadows that enhance the illusion of suspension. At 38mm deep, it adds an architectural sophistication that elevates the overall aesthetic.
-
Premium Stretched Canvas: This framed piece features the same high-quality giclée canvas print on artist-grade cotton with clean white edges to integrate seamlessly with the frame’s floating space, adding depth and visual intrigue.
-
100+ Year Colour Guarantee: Using archival, fade-resistant inks, the framed canvas maintains the rich, true colours of the original painting for over a century, ensuring long-lasting beauty and value.
-
Expertly Hand-Finished & Ready to Hang: Professionally assembled in the UK, the canvas is securely mounted within the floating frame and arrives as a complete, ready-to-display artwork.
Available Frame Finishes: Choose from Silver, Gold, Brown, Natural, White & Black to complement your interior décor and personal taste.
About the Painting
Haar Horizon is an atmospheric abstract seascape that captures the moment a sea haar rolls in at dusk and the line between land, sea and sky begins to dissolve. Broad, softly layered passages of slate blue, smoky violet and weathered copper fill the sky, shifting gently from cool to warm with no single bright point of light, just the quiet glow of the last of the day held within the mist.
Low in the composition, a broken band of near-black hints at a distant shore before merging back into water and sky. Below it, the sea is built from layers of grey-green, indigo and muted ochre, worked over with palette-knife scrapes, while thin runs of paint and ink travel horizontally from both the left and right edges, following the horizon and the water. The print reproduces every scraped, layered passage of the original, and its restrained palette sits beautifully with slate, linen, natural wood and deep blues.
Whether you select the stretched canvas or the modern floating frame, Haar Horizon Canvas Prints embody the spirit of Abstract & Impressionistic Art Gallery’s dedication to quality, authenticity, and artistic expression. These prints are perfect for art collectors, interior designers, and anyone who values the timeless beauty of Scottish landscape-inspired art. Their square proportions make them versatile for standalone centrepieces or part of a curated gallery wall.
