My Framed & Mounted Prints: A Complete, Gallery-Ready Finish
When you bring home a piece of my art, I want you to experience the full gallery atmosphere without leaving your space. That’s why each of my prints is professionally framed and mounted, delivering a fully finished artwork that’s ready to hang and enjoy immediately upon arrival.
Collaborating closely with expert framers in Scotland, I’ve personally selected every material to ensure longevity and aesthetic harmony. Each element is chosen with care to protect and showcase the artwork beautifully for generations.
My Commitment to Quality in Every Detail:
The Museum-Quality Print: To faithfully reproduce the vibrancy of the original painting, I employ the Giclée printing technique on premium heavyweight fine art paper. The archival inks combined with the paper’s subtle texture capture every brushstroke and hue with impeccable accuracy, guaranteeing a print I stand firmly behind.
The Conservation Mount: Adding a classic and elegant touch, I include a conservation-grade, off-white window mount that allows the artwork to breathe. Importantly, it is acid-free, preventing any discolouration or damage over time. This matboard is also FSC certified, responsibly sourced from sustainable forests.
The Handmade Solid Wood Frame: Each print is encased in a timeless frame crafted from high-quality solid wood. The frame’s clean lines and satin finish complement the art without overpowering it, fitting seamlessly into any interior style.
The Professional Finish: Every framed print is handmade to order by specialist picture framers who then expertly seal the back and pre-install all hanging hardware. This ensures you receive a flawless piece that’s effortless to display right out of the box.
The Haar Horizon Framed & Mounted Print from the Abstract & Impressionistic Art Gallery Collection offers a refined art experience designed to enhance your living space with a touch of Scottish artistic heritage.
About the Painting
Haar Horizon is an atmospheric abstract seascape that captures the moment a sea haar rolls in at dusk and the line between land, sea and sky begins to dissolve. Broad, softly layered passages of slate blue, smoky violet and weathered copper fill the sky, shifting gently from cool to warm with no single bright point of light, just the quiet glow of the last of the day held within the mist.
Low in the composition, a broken band of near-black hints at a distant shore before merging back into water and sky. Below it, the sea is built from layers of grey-green, indigo and muted ochre, worked over with palette-knife scrapes, while thin runs of paint and ink travel horizontally from both the left and right edges, following the horizon and the water. The print reproduces every scraped, layered passage of the original, and its restrained palette sits beautifully with slate, linen, natural wood and deep blues.
My Museum-Quality Giclée Prints (Unframed)
A print should embody the essence and emotion of the original artwork. That’s why I dedicate extensive care to create reproductions that remain true to my artistic vision. Working with specialist printers, I offer these exquisite, unframed fine art prints, allowing you the freedom to select framing that perfectly suits your personal taste and home decor.
My Commitment to Quality in Every Print:
Vibrant Giclée Printing: Utilising the sophisticated giclée printing process, trusted by galleries and museums worldwide, I ensure each print captures the vivid colours and intricate brushstrokes of the original painting. Archival-quality inks deliver stunning fidelity and longevity.
Archival Fine Art Paper: Printed on heavyweight (200gsm), museum-grade paper, the surface has a subtle texture and elegant matt finish that adds depth while offering a luxurious tactile experience.
Stunning Colour and Detail: The non-reflective matt finish prevents glare, allowing the rich colours and delicate tonal variations of the artwork to shine through clearly, doing justice to the original piece.
