The Ring of Brodgar is special to me and my family because it is part of Orkney, where my grandfather was born. I commissioned the painting, An Ethereal Ring of Brodgar, for my grandson, Alec, who has it hanging in his living room. I have ordered three Fine Art Prints of the painting to give as Christmas gifts to his mother, his brother, and his Uncle Sean so that everyone can enjoy Kevin's painting in their own homes. In the photo taken in 2003 at the Ring of Brodgar, you will see Alec perched on his Uncle Sean's shoulders with brother Christian by his side. Kevin's painting is a conduit to Orkney and special memories of our visit.

Excellent and inspiring - I commissioned a landscape (Lochindorb) from Kevin for my partner's special birthday. From start to finish, my experience working with Kevin Hunter on a commission of Duntrune Castle, Argyll Scotland, was extraordinary. He was quick to communicate with me once contacted, and allowed me to share not only what I was looking for in terms of style and mood, but also to express the depth of emotion I associate with the location. I contacted Kevin to commission a painting of an Edinburgh park for some friends. After a discussion about what I was looking for and sending over some reference pictures Kevin mocked up an example for us. We worked together on some very small tweaks and the final painting is beautiful! Better than we could have hoped for and a really special gift. Before you enquire
It depends on size. Original paintings start from around £95 for a small canvas, and each painting's product page lists prices for every size. Kevin confirms the price and timescale before any work starts.
Most original paintings take around 4 weeks. If you have a deadline, such as a birthday or anniversary, mention it in your enquiry and Kevin will do his best to meet it.
Yes. You can send your own photographs as reference, or point to elements you like in Kevin's existing paintings, such as the sky from one and the hills from another.
Originals are painted on a premium deep-edge canvas, 3.8cm (1.5 inches) deep, so it can hang without a frame. Floating frames are available at wholesale prices.
Yes. Delivery is free worldwide, and Kevin can send the painting straight to the recipient with a personalised gift card.
Yes. Commissioned originals come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
