Never Is Enough is a dense, restless abstract built from hundreds of loose palette-knife strokes, dragged and layered over one another until the surface feels like the lights of a city at night seen through rain on glass. Deep blacks and charcoals close in at the top and bottom of the canvas, while the centre breaks open into burnt orange, dusty pink, lavender and pale sage, with sudden flashes of acid yellow and pockets of deep navy.
Thick acrylic is scraped back and smeared wet-into-wet so the colours streak into one another, with thin drips and runs falling through the darker passages and fragments of earlier layers showing through. Nothing is crisp or settled; every mark overlaps, breaks and pushes for more space, giving the painting a constant, shifting energy that rewards a closer look.
Its rich, layered palette and strong dark edges give it real presence on a large wall, making it a bold focal point for a living room, dining room, hallway or office, and a striking partner for charcoal, warm timber, brass and soft blush or sage tones.
